Oriflame was founded in 1967 by two brothers: Jonas and Robert Af Jochnick and their partner Friend Bengt Hellsten. Their idea was to create a beauty company which would manufacture and sell second-to-none organic beauty products without building and investing in shops. 

After productions, they displayed their products on a table tennis table in their small office in Stockholm, Sweden, the founders then passed them on to their friends, relatives and entrepreneurs across Sweden with the intent that these people would in turn sell these products to their own friends, neighbours, family etc.(This goes to show that even the founders of this great company started small and in the span of 50 years have become a household name in several countries of the world...why then would you want to start your Oriflame business and become a millionaire overnight?)

Fast-forward to 52 years later, the concept of Oriflame has not changed. However, it has grown into one of the world's largest and most trusted organic skin-care companies.

Now our gist!
See how it all started!
One faithful day my girlfriend whose house i had gone to stay in while trying to process my original certificate was using this wash on her hair and within seconds the entire house was smelling so nice!. Me ke?
with my sharp nose i went sniffing and picked up the products.
They read 'Milk and honey gold' conditioner and shampoo.
Then she went on about how her normally dry and brittle hair was suddenly retaining moisture and oil. It was true cos i had noticed same.
As a true Nigerian though, Using is believing! so i told her in my normal gragra voice.
'Babe, i go follow you use o. If for anything, let me too smell like i poured perfume on my hair'
my friend just looked at me, shook her head and was like 'better take only small, if i wasn't a consultant i wouldn't have bought it cos of price. Discount though. I follow my mates dey use better thing'
I wasn't even paying her any attention. Let me sha use and feel good. So i went hair washing and smiling out of the bathroom. Fast forward to two days later and my hair was still just shining like a diva whenever i looked in the mirror and i am like 'what!'.

I couldn't resist, i asked her about the shampoo. We have all tried and tried and tried different versions of shampoo and conditioners in our twenty something years of existence. experienced crazy things as repercussion. Hair breakage, color change, dryness, tangling... name it. Now this babes product was a revelation so i am like ' i want'.
She said 'buy na' and gave me a brochure like book and flipped through to the last pages. i looked down and cringed at the price😓 dont blame me. I am a middle class Nigerian.

I rolled my eyes and from the side caught her smirking at me 

'Igbo woman!' was what i got as a response to my eye rolling
'you enjoyed that product! she continued. 'if i leave you, you will carry it and go back to lagos. Buy, your eye is flying everywhere'
I just laughed. She wasn't wrong so i was like 'hmm, how much last?
It was now her own turn to roll her eyes 'does it look like i produced and published the book with the price list? was what i got as a response.

 In my mind i was like 'Lobatan! we will continue managing our trial and error jare! pepper never rest like that. If the trial and error continues cutting my hair, at all at all, hair go still remain small for my wedding day. Any other day afterwards, anything we see, we carry!

My friend knowing me and my whirlwind mind just smiled and said 'Relax, you could register as a consultant and get it as a discount' My mind paused. Why didn't she start from the discount side? i quickly attacked her only for her to remind me that she did tell me before but in my bid to have a perfume smelling hair, i didn't pay her any attention. She then mentioned that there was a promo and registration that month was free, that sealed my fate. 'Where do i sign up!

That, my dears is how i joined Oriflame Sweden! Fast forward to three months after my lazy ass friend introduced me to Oriflame sweden. I had also tried the love nature shampoo set,

Dashed some out to my family members who were loving it and learning from the oriflame group chat that i was automatically added to on registration that i could make money simply from changing my brand.

You know I did! I fell in love with the products once i started using and if i get to make money from using more of their products, win win!!!
I Started using the roll on, hair oil, perfumed lotion, Aquaboost illuskin foundation and the one set makeup kit and seeing tiny tiny alerts on my phone. It was cute!
 And no! i wont show you my account balance. those internet pixs of bank statements are tacky. 😝

Then i learnt from conversations on the group chat that multi leveling in oriflame gets you to travel around the world, win crazy cash rewards, designer gifts and many many many amazing things. hmm. You can trust your girl! i folded my wrapper!😏 especially in my third month when i won a gold tone swarovski wristwatch and collected it after checking the dollar worth in the market👀🙌

I am sure you can see how amazing my hands looks from my perfumed lotion daily application and the added touch of the swarovski gold tone amazement!!!😚

Suffice it to say, now i am a hunter and market woman. proudly Oriflame sweden and i honestly cant wait till when i get to start travelling around and shaking my bumbum in different countries!
